Scope Of Work
Ramhan Island is a high end waterfront development consisting of several islands connected by causeways and bridges, a marina and surrounded by artificial canals. It is located in one of the mangrove areas of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE. The development includes an intricate network of interconnected channels, mostly excavated to -3.00 m ACD, and which are connected to the main channels of Abu Dhabi backwaters via five (5) earthen dredged channels. The modelling study sought to evaluate whether the proposed design fulfills the requirements for water exchange ("flushing") defined by the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD). ADEC was requested to evaluate measures to enhance water quality in the proposed development.
